Defense of graduate thesis of student Nina Lulić

On November 22, 2024, student Nina Lulić defended her graduation thesis entitled "The role of jasmonates in regulation of antioxidative response during potato spindle tuber viroid infection of potato (Solanum tuberosum) ". The work was done under the mentorship of Ph.D. Snježana Mihaljević as part of the Laboratory Internship program.

LABORATORY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

As part of the Laboratory Internship program (collaboration between RBI and Faculty of Science of University of Zagreb), in the period January-June 2023, we welcomed 2 students, Nina Lulić and Marta Frlin, from the Faculty of Science to our Laboratory for Chemical Biology. Students participated in spectrophotometric analyzes and isolation of total plant RNA.
We thank all students for their diligence and interest.

Snježana Mihaljević held an invited lecture for members of the Croatian Society of Plant Biologists (https://www.hdbb.hr/) which took place on 30th of March 2023 in Zagreb.
At the lecture entitled: Activation of signaling pathways in the response of potato plants to PSTVd viroid infection, S. Mihaljević presented the results of research carried out within the Croatian Science Foundation (CSF) project IP-2019-04-9915, PotatoSignalHub (2020-2024).
